The difference is everyone knows and will remember Madoff and SBF, no one knows or gives a shite about Van Thinh Phat. Literally every single FB group im in for buying products/2nd hand stuff has scammer warnings and people asking if XYZ seller is a scammer / seller verification. Yes Vietnam has an overabundance of scammers and sales people desperate to meet their KPI, it’s only an issue if you’re unaware and don’t know how to deal with that. In terms of shoe shiners then these posts are obviously more focused around the Alien eww people Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this people in tourist trap areas and at that point you should be extra on guard and aware. If you run into shoe shiners in other parts of the city you’re less likely to be scammed or atleast scammed THAT aggressively.

The matte finish works great with the Alien eww people Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this print because the sheen and texture of the others competes for attention. Depends what you are going for. First ones make your legs look longer, gives more of a romantic style with a healthy hint of sexy. Second pair are hot in a fun way, but keep in mind you will look shorter with them and they will accentuate your tights more so it’s for you to figure out if you wish for a curvier look around your hips. Also, the first pair is more expected with this outfit, feels more organic, like you did not even try, just happened to look this good. So yes, the first is the correct answer after all. Hahahaha you’ll be fine with any of the boots. I prefer the last ones but it’s all up to personal preference tbh The cowboys are keeping it fun!! The last ones are more tamed but still trendy. I might pick the first bc thats more my classic style but i think the cowboys is an opportunity to be really fun and fashionable
I second this! Can never really go wrong with over the Alien eww people Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this knee boots and a mini, but the cowboy boots are both a little leggier and a lot more personality. the form fitting ones look better with the outfit so any of them except for photos 4-6 i just feel those ones have too much personality to go with the fun print 1 or 2. 1 is the safe, sort or basic choice. The shapes created by the second boot are much more dynamic and make your silhouette more interesting to look at. 3 is just boring, like a less good 1. The first boots are best. I see u a lot in passing on here, and I just identified whose style you remind me of. You ever seen The Nanny? You remind me of Fran! You’re very stylish like her!
Idk why everyone’s saying the Alien eww people Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this first pair, that style of boots feels dated to me with that type of dress. However #3 looks great! They hit you at a perfect length and makes the whole look super cute I would go with the first boot just because the latter’s style is more country western and your dress isn’t in that style! Love 1. I like the sleeker look rather than the flared top of the less fitted boot. Like it’s all just blended and smoother/clean lines lol If that makes sense? The looseness of the cowboy boots is doing something cool with the shape of your outfit. It looks fresh and fun and youthful. You even look like you feel spriggier in them! I can’t tell if #1 and you were #2 are the same, but I would go with those although any would work. I absolutely LOVE the dress. Didn’t think you’d top the first but the second pair are actually the most fun for this look. They’re just – cooler. The others are fine, but meh. That dress is very flattering! I’d say #1 give you a good long leg look. Is that the hair your going to be doing? I think the updo is super cute 1 or cowboy, 1 is more classy the other is more fun and playful. My personal preference is cowboy since it just flows well with the fun dress.

The middle pair looks a bit like buckets on your legs. It depends on what you’re going for, but I think the Alien eww people Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this second pair is the most trendy and current! The first ones are probably what I personally would wear, but look a little less “now” to me.
I like number 2 – with the Alien eww people Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this blazer but different top – a fitted striped – black and cream sweater maybe? I don’t like the white shirt on you – doesn’t do you justice. I hope you have a great interview! I’m an instructor in the middle of interview season. While your clothing should not play a huge role in the decision (should be professional, and all of these are) , four is most typical of what I see applicants wear. Two looks great, but your top is a little casual for a grad school interview. Good luck! Definitely make sure whatever you wear is comfortable since you will probably be nervous on the day. That is where finding a good petite shirt is invaluable. The shoulders on the button-up are too wide, and not in a “this is intentionally oversized” way, which adds to the “playing dressup” vibe that OP references. yep. It looks awesome with the blazer, so OP can definitely pull off the business look. They just need to get some petite sized basics!
Depends on the Alien eww people Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this field. STEM and business lean very formal. Arts and sciences is less formal I’ve noticed overall. That being said, you’re competing against many other people for limited spots. I would want to present myself as someone who is serious about the degree, isn’t late, won’t miss classes, etc. You want your personality and responses to take priority. Save everyday classes as an opportunity to dress comfortable and stylish. Unless you’re in some kind of ecology, in which case it’s like hiking sandals, heavy metal band tshirt, and a cozy cardigan I think 4 is the best option here. But in general I have always been told to wear business professional for grad school interviews. I think a matching suit would look more professional and put-together. Get a black blazer to match those pants and wear the white button-up. The flats are fine. It might seem simple but it shows that you’re serious about this. If you look too casual, it will come off like you don’t care that much. You can show some personality through your jewelry.
hmm i’d say 2 or 4.! 2 gives off a more warm feeling, looks very nice while 4s shirt gives a more professional vibe. I don’t really like the Alien eww people Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this cut, style, or color of the blazer. I would say #3 is the most flattering. But I think you should neatly roll up the sleeves a bit, as they are long on you. And make sure to iron or steam the shirt. Alternatively, have you tried wearing the white button down under the white sweater, with the collar peaking out? It might be a bit too loose for this to work well, but something to consider! I like 2 and 4; I really like the blazer on you. However because the blazer has 3/4 sleeves, I feel like the long sleeves on the sweater and button down might be awkward. Also both tops are a little bulky. Perhaps a short-sleeved blouse or t-shirt underneath instead?

( Or find someone who knows how to iron ).Black or very dark navy pants and a Suit jacket.NOT a jacket with limp material like the one shown.You want to look crisp aka “put together”.If you are in competition with others for a position it will help to look more impressive. Look on line at the suits on Talbots for examples of how you want to look.See if you qualify for Dress to Impress -a charity to help low-income Women find clothes for job interviews.You may qualify if you are low on funds . Agree. The blazer now is too long and as well as a little limp. I’d try to find a more fitted blazer (goodwill is shockingly good for work wear around me). That could potentially make the rest of the outfit work with what she already has. I actually like the white sweater. Pants are a nice rise, but cut a little tight in the legs.
I kind of prefer a darker color for tops going to interviews because I spill… Like a dark grey or black top would work well. Always wear something under a suite jacket that you would feel comfortable in if you take off your jacket. Depending on the Alien eww people Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this temperature and dress code. So for example, if you wear a darker sweater underneath. If everyone is dressed casual, you can take off the jacket and be more casual. Or keep the jacket on if everyone else are in blazers. I like to avoid white shirts to important meetings b/c I always worry about wrinkles, color of undergarments, spilling coffee etc. etc. I wouldn’t wear a cropped sweater. Also investigate companies that offer petite sized shirts/blouses. Lands End has a good selection that are business casual.

I know the oversized blazers are trendy, but I personally wouldn’t go into a grad school interview with it because they might not understand the trend and just think it’s plain too big! – from a fellow grad student: good luck & hope you get in where you want to!! I was worried about 3 because I feel a bit like a waiter But as long as that is not reading to others that’s all that matters if you can afford/get more structured shoes, maybe with a small heel, that would be good. those look to casual. 1 or 2! I was WAY overdressed for my grad school visit days. It good to look nice but also not too over the top. A nice sweater with dress pants is a great option. The blazer is cute on top too! If you are on a visit you will likely be in multiple rooms and going outside so make sure to wear something under the sweater if it is hot in one of the rooms (I made this mistake). When I did interviews I defaulted to a nice turtle neck. (I was touring/ interviewing for stem based PhD programs and all programs are different)
Also for shoes I wore doc martens boots for all of my interviews with no problem. Most people were wearing tennis shoes, I am unsure what program you are interviewing for but I have not seen anyone in heels on the Alien eww people Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this visits I was on (or for prospective applicants touring now). I’m leaning towards 3 without the blazer. It’s business casual at its finest. And no need for the heels, you got this! A lot of grad interviews will have a formal interview process, but then more social/casual activities. The second one allows you to transition between them seamlessly. the Alien eww people Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this button up is way to big on you, i feel like that look would be awesome if you got a size smaller and ironed it! 2! Very much professional enough for academia and as another user pointed out, easy to transition. I think a brown pant (on the darker side) would go better than black if you have it. I would get a plain blouse that doesn’t need to be tucked in, if you can swing it. That cream color looks nice. You can find them at places like TJ Maxx or Nordstrom Rack for less than $20. Maybe something like this?

I think both of the blazer outfits are good – the sweater is imo better because the shirt is a little slouchy looking in the pic, tho a tighter tuck could fix that; i would choose depending on the weather 2 is my favorite. The blazer seems too long for the dress shirt in 4. Also, the dress shirt just doesn’t seem to tuck well, maybe the pants are a smidge tight at the waistline or the shirt is a bit big in the torso. Sleeves of the dress shirt are also quite long. Outfit 2 currently works best followed by 4, but 2 is just slightly too casual. I think perhaps a blouse similar to the one in 3 and 4 would be a little bit more appropriate and dressy for the occasion than the top in 1 and 2, but somehow this blouse isn’t working for me, not sure if it’s the colour, it doesn’t quite fit right, or what, and for whatever reason it’s not playing super well with the blazer. I think the pants and blazer are good.
I think you could elevate this with some accessories too. A nice watch would work with the Alien eww people Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this cropped sleeves of the blazer, and I think sends a message of being organised and on time! Maybe a simple necklace like a plain gold chair with a small pendant? I also think your shoes could be more formal while still wearing flats, perhaps a similar style in patent leather? And think about what you will be carrying (bag, folder, etc) and how to tie this in with your outfit. I have the same issue with standard size tops and blazers. Out of these outfits, I like 2 and 4 the best. If you have time, then perhaps order a petite shirt and/or blazer. The sleeves being too long gives it the “little kid playing dress up” vibe.
