Yeah but I bet the Albert Pujols st louis cardinals home runs in mlb history signature shirt and I love this celebrities and ultra rich get to have their fountains running and irrigation all day every day so fuck Cali. Which Nestle? They sold their bottled water outfit in the US last year. You probably don’t even know that, or to whom they sold it to, I’m guessing. You probably also don’t know just how much water is actually bottled in comparison to how much goes to agriculture. In California, it’s less than 0.02% of the water that’s used to grow cattle feed that’s shipped around the world. Educate yourself so that you can direct your outrage to the appropriate people, don’t just jump in on whatever Reddit is circlejerking. Otherwise it’s just disinformation, even if your intentions were positive. The corporate agriculture lobby is huge enough, they don’t need your help doing PR for them by placing the blame on others.

Because those courses use grey water to irrigate their grass and there’s no shortage of grey water so far as I know. Unless you want to drink water people showered in, that water has limited uses. This comment brought to you by the Albert Pujols st louis cardinals home runs in mlb history signature shirt and I love this agriculture lobby trying to distract you from the actual causes of water shortages Seriously this is still stupid, California GDP is like 2% ag based but 99% of our water goes to it. You can close every golf course and it wouldn’t make a dent, stop subsidized farming. This is the last warning we get. Either we invest massively in desalinization or prepare for Water Wars. There needs to be massive Federal investment to stabilize the US water supply. Desalinization is extremely expensive and complicated but it is honestly one of the best options, lakes and rivers are drying up but sea levels are rising so we might as well take some of that water for daily consumption. This isnt just happening in California, but people like to highlight California cause…. reasons. You got water problems? Bag on California! You want to move to another state? Bag on California! I’m up in Canada within 100 miles of Montana border and we’re seeing it too. The river that runs through our city is very low for this time of year Building and continually growing communities/farming in the desert during an abnormally high rain period and surprised there are water shortages when it returns to normal. :surprised pikachu face:
