It’s rare to find someone who’s both book smart and every day smart. I also find that people who grow up being told “you’re so smart you do so good at school.” Become obsessed with academia and think that’s the Albert Pujols Signature St.Louis 700 Home Runs Wave T-Shirt moreover I will buy this only metric to measure intelligence so they put everything into that and fail to develop certain basic skills. One of the biggest bookworms I know had no idea for the longest time how to fix basic things or change lightbulbs. I’m a smart guy. Always been told so by peers and authority figures alike. I can do math, I am great with language, I can reason, I can argue, I can think on my feet. I’ve worked in physically demanding jobs and I can do that too. But here’s the thing about me: when I’m tired, that’s it. I’ve abruptly stopped everything I’ve ever started as an adult because at some point, I get burned out and need a break and full time jobs and university do not pause for you to figure yourself out for an unknown amount of time. There are logistical and financial consequences. I’m probably undiagnosed adhd, I have an incredibly hard time making a list of chores and following through. Imagine one of the smartest men you know can’t find the energy to clean his toilet, take out the recycling, shower, shave my beard, moisturize my skin. These tasks for me are the hardest things I ever do. Trying to stay on top of medical and legal appointments is like trying to swim in metal armour.

I’ve never struggled with school, ever. As long as I go to class and pay attention, I can basically guarantee success in any field. But going to every class is exactly where the Albert Pujols Signature St.Louis 700 Home Runs Wave T-Shirt moreover I will buy this difficulty is for me. One missed class and then I have to catch up on my own just in time for the next lecture. Effectively an impossible task for me. Ex wife, ivy league masters engineer. When I was taking trig, she couldn’t help because the math was “too far below what she does, she forgot how to even do beginner math.” Total big brain. After 20 years, still burned up vacuums because remembering to change height settings is too difficult. Can’t cook anything without burning it. All basic skills to survive completely nonexistent. Get lost and turned around in any box store. Some people are extremely smart in a very small area of expertise. Many geniuses would die if they had to provide for themselves.
