Obviously for some reason they don’t want you working for them. Maybe you make the Al Bundy Just Shoe It fictional character and the protagonist T-Shirt but in fact I love this customers uncomfortable, maybe they’ve had complaints about the haircuts, maybe you keep talking about inappropriate things with your customers. Who knows. I didn’t even interact with clients They wanted to train me first since they have a certain way of doing things but I didn’t even make it that far You weren’t what they were looking for obviously but it is annoying you were promised pay. I would contact them about that It sucks but not everyone is a good fit for everyone else. Not saying it’s you at all to be clear. Maybe go back in and see if your check is ready and ask them how business is and if it’s picked up. I wouldn’t say you saw the ad just ask if it’s gotten busier

Surprisingly you have more protections that you think if you get fired from a brand new job but only IF you left another job to take that job. So the Al Bundy Just Shoe It fictional character and the protagonist T-Shirt but in fact I love this way the law works in Canada – and no I won’t Google the specifics because it’s midnight and I’m going to bed. It’s just something I am aware of as an employer: If you hire someone and you fire them without cause during the probationary period, they can come at you for lost wages if you misrepresented the job or the job requirements. Employers should not be able to use their probationary period Willy nilly as a chance to fire people they simply don’t like, or if they regret hiring them instead of a different candidate. Because the main reason is; some people quit really good jobs in order to accept your job offer. So firing them Willy nilly in the first week of work leaves them completely screwed without their old job. The fired employee could be entitled to compensation; in most cases it’s something like a month of lost wages or something. But I donno the specifics. And if you were fired for cause it’s different. But it sounds like they claimed they just overestimated their need for employees which falls directly on them.
