Except the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this guy was let off because 4 jurors believed that as he swore on the bible/ under oath he couldn’t possibly be lying. Be prepared to argue with fellow jurors who think they understand the law because they’ve watched TV shows. We had very long discussions about what Reasonable Doubt meant and how in our case it really it was just one person’s word against another as we had no evidence (rape case). It was quite depressing, because as a woman I wanted to convict a rapist, but we really didn’t have enough to go on to do so. But otherwise, the experience was interesting and worthwhile. I got called up once. Got a letter saying trial could last up to 8 weeks so managed to get 8 weeks paid leave. Then I got a letter saying they already had enough people and I wasn’t required which was kind of a shame Did mine just after 21st birthday 20 years ago. Lots of scummy bastards on trial, many scummy judgmental jurors (he looks like he did it, probably did it) incapable of digesting the information provided.

AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater, long sleeve tee

I got called up last year. I don’t know if I was lucky a mild annoyance but I was called a bit after my 19th birthday and proceeded to not get called for any of the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this cases. Went in, had my free breakfast, watched Jeremy Kyle for half an hour then got sent home unpicked. Until about 5 days in, I got picked, I was a very excited to be chosen. Was quite a boring case, it carried over to the next day and I had to resign because I’d ended up at a party with the defendants. I had visited the magistrates when in secondary school for observation of the legal system and I found that interesting. The first day as mentioned by other commenters is a whole load of sitting around, picking people out and it can be pretty tedious, they used to be arsey about having phones but hope that’s passed now, I managed to make do with a DS and a couple of books.
The cases are interesting, but they can be pretty intense and you really have no indication how bad it’s going to be until you’re actually called in. My very first case was centred around a child rape, having to watch the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this girls therapy sessions was absolutely heartbreaking. It did impact me at the time but I’m glad I was a part of that process in the end, it felt like we were helping and it gave me a good dose of reality at such a formative stage of my adult life. However I still occasionally think back at the way the mother of the defendant wailed when we gave our verdict, honestly even though we were 100% certain he was guilty it really made you question things – so do be prepared to live with doubts.

2nd case was a battery, which was like the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this most comical thing ever as it was caught on camera and the defendant was so chavvy and proud of herself for being in and out of prison, I felt sorry for the guy defending her… But it did make up for the previous case in terms of bringing a bit more light to the ordeal. 3rd was a teacher/student molestation case… That one was weird and made me very sceptical about just believing the victim immediately, that was a very in depth case and provided a look at how good a defence can be when they’re truly innocent. I’m that rare beast that’s done it twice. First time was pub brawls and minor drugs cases. Second time was an under age girl raped by a stranger. The process is interesting but be prepared to carry some trauma afterwards. I did a low level drugs import case about ten years ago. Getting ketamine through the post, and somehow the police had intercepted it, posed as the postman and then nicked the guy as he signed for the package. Pretty much an open and shut case based on the judge’s directions on the law concerned. What I found really powerful was the absolute seriousness that all the jury treated it with. We deliberated for a day and a half as we weren’t unanimous. The foreman was brilliant in managing the discussion. I hope that if I’m ever in the dock I’d get the same consideration.
Prior to that I’d waited about 4 days, so was nearly half way through the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this second week when my next case began. Within 15 minutes of being sworn in, one of the jurors complained that some scrote in the pubic gallery was giving them the evil eye and we were all discharged, and that was me done. Loved it, to a degree, murder case, killed the other parent in front of their baby son. Was big news in 2011 in the area it happened. Longest 2 weeks of my life when I did it about 15 years ago. No smartphones or wifi so managed some old studying from course books and did some reading by that soon felt like too much work. Got selected for 15 on the Friday of the first week but not the final 12 and only got my other case the Tuesday after. The second case only lasted a few days, made us wonder why it got to court as it was pretty much he said, she said evidence and we spent longer it seemed arguing with one other juror that she had a funny feeling about the accused.
That’s all very good but she couldn’t get it into her head that we can’t convict someone because you felt a bit off about him! For me there was a lot of waiting around and even more shuffling around, someone in my same jury duty block was waiting in the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this courthouse for 5 days before actually being selected on a case, so be prepped for that possibility with a good book or something similar. Same goes for mental prep as of the details might be grim. Look after yourself and that includes bringing food and snacks. The food at mine wasn’t awful, but it was by no means good either and that was at The Old Bailey. Also my god the number of times we got called into the court room just to be told the printer wasn’t working and we’d have to wait a while was absurd. Mountains upon mountains of red tape and protocol. I swear I went up and down in that lift so many times I got altitude sickness.
Also when it comes for the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this time to deliberate, what might happen is that as soon as you all get into the deliberating room, some well meaning member will say something like “right so who thinks they’re guilty?” and call for a hands up vote or something. DON’T let people vote this way, because without meaning to, people can get entrenched in the way they first voted in front of everyone else and can be reluctant to change their minds. If you need a unanimous vote it’ll be that much harder to sway them one way or the other. Also with regards to your hearing aid, don’t be afraid take notes. I’m sure other jurors will help with that and the court staff will give assistance to whoever needs it. Finally do follow the instructions of the court staff, don’t talk about the case to anyone else and try to get along with your fellow jurors. You might be with them a while. Luckily I had a decent group ranging from 18 all the way to people in their sixties. If you approach it with an open mind, you can develop quite the camaraderie through what is quite a novel experience.
I did coroners court jury service, which is a bit different, where there is some question over the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this circumstances of the death. We had two cases and both were very sad, a contractor killed at work and an old man who died from medicine given by his GP. It was a smaller group, and there was no waiting around. It was all very interesting though and I’d happily do it again. My mum was on one for a few weeks, a policeman accused of rape in his car, and it was very upsetting although she was glad to have contributed. I am 64 and have never been called for jury duty. I know a couple of people that have been called twice. I have no criminal record. What did I do? Do it for sure,i got called 9 years ago at 27, it was great, was home by lunchtime the first week everyday due to not having a case, got a case on the monday the next week,a rape case which was really open and shut, the accused chap was completely innocent but it went on for a week and a half, maybe 3 full days at court in total over 8 days, lunch and travel paid for, so essentially if you would like a couple of weeks of basically paid holiday,go do it and its a learning curve in life too, getting 12 completely different people to agree one outcome is most definately interesting but feels like a game of cluedo also
In self employed, I’d hate to have to do jury duty as I would lose too much money (that would be my main reason for getting out of it) I was called on the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this first trial of the day on my first day and it turned out to be a four week long, rather technical fraud trial. While there were a couple of days boredom while legal arguments were discussed and we had to go out, the rest was really quite enjoyable. I got elected as chair, and had the very enjoyable privilege of declaring an obviously innocent guy not guilty and an obviously guilty as sin chap guilty. I have never been so cross in my life. In my 2 weeks I was on the jury 3 times. Twice we ended up in massive deadlocked arguments due to some of the jury people being complete illogical arseholes. I enjoyed my experience a hell of a lot more than the group who was picked for a child trafficking case estimated to take minimum 12 weeks though. They were traumatised from watching/hearing the evidence. There was also one police officer who was not picked for a jury even once, so he started to bring a pillow with him and spent 2 weeks sleeping in the waiting room. Oh, let’s not forget the guy who wanted out of the selection process and so came in dressed as a pirate (eyepatch too) and was going up and down the corridors on a skateboard for 2 days. After that I didn’t see him again, so probably successful.
I was called up a few years ago and ended up sitting on a jury for a Robbery trial. Obviously can’t go into loads of detail but the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this prosecutions case and evidence was extremely poor and circumstantial. There was no denying the victim had been robbed but there was nothing concrete to prove who had done it. I think the hardest part for me was that we simply had to give our verdict based upon the evidence we were shown, which we unanimously agreed to acquit the defendants. Out of interest, I asked my fellow jurors to raise their hands if they believed the defendants had robbed the victim – all 11 hands went up. Frustrating, but we did our job and the experience was a real eye opener into not just the workings of the criminal justice system but also how bloody hard it must be to try and build a prosecution case. The defence barely had to try as the evidence was so poor. I loved jury service. Wish I could do it as a job! Had a rape case and very interesting where you start and finish in your mind. I live on the crime and investigation channel with no issues so it depends on you as no topics are an issue or taboo with me. If in doubt just think you have to do justice for a person or people which for me took away any emotions or personal feelings that came with sex, age, family, wealth etc. The facts are the facts and you’re there to establish the truth
Got really anxious about getting to the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this fucking place as “nearby town” really wasn’t when reliant on public transport. Employers got funny telling me I may as well continue to do my nightshifts if I wasn’t needed. Sitting around like a twat for most of the morning before being dismissed whilst being charged for the most revolting coffee. Having to phone each morning to see if I was needed, and having to then call my employers to find they’d given away my shift that night. In whole, it was an infuriating bureaucratic waste of time and money. I know some people love it and find it fascinating, and also easy to get to. Maybe people should be able to opt in or out of this nonesense as preferred.
I’ve had to do it twice. First was an inquest, really sad about a young person who’d died whilst under the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this care of medical professionals. Seemed completely pointless having a jury as none of us were doctors and so took all medical evidence at face value. It seemed like the family wanted negligence, but there was no way we could have come to that conclusion. Second time was a crown court trial. All bar a couple of the other jurors were absolute morons. They made up their minds instantly after being shown police footage that didn’t prove anything and making assumptions about the defendant. Both barristers were useless and acted like they didn’t want to be there. Three of us stood our ground of there being not enough evidence, so we ended up not being able to come to a majority verdict and the case was dismissed. It was one of the most frustrating weeks of my life.
I got called up twice in quick succession. Wrote back and said I was in the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this middle of my final year of uni. That was accepted. 23 years since and I haven’t been called up again. I would actually quite like to do it, just had terrible timing If you do get called up and it’s lots of waiting, are you allowed to do work from there? And do you get paid normal wages from work? I was called when I was in my early thirties. I’m not 52, and still have occasional nightmares. Get out of it if you can!! Defendant had been arrested for an offense unrelated to my case, and was subsequently accused of assaulting multiple officers at the station. The guy was clearly a wrong’un (subsequent googling reveals that he got ~5 years for the other offense), but the CCTV footage of the “assault” made the charges seem exaggerated at best. It seemed more like he was someone they had been trying to send down for other offenses, and saw this as an opportunity to potentially tack on a bit of extra time. We had one guy who stayed in guilty for a while, claiming that he “knew the defendant’s type”, but the judge accepted the 11-1 verdict after a day. I did jury service at the age of about 18 years and 3 months and I wasnt even the youngest one in the group I did it with. I did jury duty when I was about 21. Got the summons the same week I got accepted at a new job so they were very pleased..
It was a case of a group of prisoners got into a fight and assaulted a prison guard and we had to decide whether or not it was affray.. We were all convinced the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this only reason it made it to court was because it involved a prison guard- otherwise they wouldn’t have cared. But I was just pleased it was something fairly boring. And because it happened in a prison there was loads of cctv which really helped. I’m self-employed and planned to be on holiday while the jury service was on. I told them I was going on holiday and they wanted proof. I quickly booked my holiday! I’m 44 and have been called up 4 times, why so many times?!? I got excused twice as I run my own business and couldn’t afford the pittance you’re given. The first time was when I around 19, two cases over two weeks. The second time was at a coroner’s court which was only for a week. I’d not asked to be excused that time around as hoped if I actually do serve rather than asked to be excused, I would hopefully not get called up again. Days one and two were spent listening to evidence. Day three we were informed the prosecution lawyer was sick and we were sent home. Day four the prosecution lawyer was still sick so we were sent home again. That evening received a call saying we were no longer required and were consequently discharged from jury service.
Had to do three weeks… 13 counts historical child sexual abuse / rape offences. It was tough listening to her being cross examined. Never want to do that again. Enjoyed my two weeks. Three cases lasting two days each. All drug related cases around dealers getting caught Deliberation room was odd as some people are easily influenced and I wouldn’t like my future being determined by that method Think our longest decision was about 1hour as we needed a 10-2 verdict initially. Not mine but a relative, they spent 6 months on a jury for a case related to the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this riots of 2011, the whole prosecution case was a rushed bodge job, the investigating officers promised anonymity to witnesses and no need to give evidence in court, claimed encrypted messages were deleted between defendants with no proof of this, claimed all the defendants knew each other again without proof, no cctv pulled from cameras in the area the prosecution claimed everything was organised… all defendants found not guilty after a couple of hours deliberation. If you can’t hear properly due to a faulty heating aid, fgs please tell the judge on day one! People’s lives are in the balance depending on people like you! You have to be able to do the job properly. If you have any doubt, pull out!
Got called up twice 20 odd yrs ago and excused both times as my employer would not pay me for the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this time i was off and the daily allowance was far less than my daily pay rate. The second time i ended up waiting for a couple of hours to see the clerk of the court and got chatting to a few of the other jurors, two were unabashed imbeciles no way were they able to form an informed opinion. One said he walked the other’s mum dropped him off, but he would be claiming for the bus anyway – i told him it was fraud and he would be in front of the judge next month if he did It was a relatively short experience, about 4 days, but I got full blown flu after a couple of days. I was told I still had to attend and if I didn’t, they would send the sherrifs for me. I attended.
I got called up just after I started my first job. Wound up getting selected for a trial that took nine months. After a while they started picking us up and dropping us off in unmarked police cars to minimise the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this risk of interference from the defendants’ ‘associates’, which led to amusing situations like being collected from my friend/dealer’s flat after what I will euphemistically describe as ‘sleepless nights’. They had warned us that our lives would be on hold for a while, but the trial went on far longer than it was ever meant to (turns out it takes longer than you’d think to read boxes and boxes of spreadsheets to a stenographer, plus one juror was batshit mental and got recused, if that’s the word). However, they’d already had one go at it and had to declare a mistrial, so they were going all out to see this one through and reach a verdict. Finally we got to the summing-up, which happened to coincide with the week before the Download festival, for which I had tickets. Come Tuesday, the judge said they’d put us up in a hotel and keep us sequestered until we gave our verdict on the Friday.
Being young, dumb and monumentally self-centred, I wrote an impassioned letter explaining how it was absolutely vital to the AJ Pierzynski On Tokyo Series Its Going To Be A Historic Moment For Major League Baseball 2025 shirt besides I will buy this survival of humanity that I go to Download. They read it into the record in closed session, called us back in and said that as one of the jurors was attending ‘an event’, they would adjourn for the weekend and conclude on the Monday. Got dropped off at the festival in another unmarked car, had a great time. Waded, tripping balls, through the burning portaloos and upturned burger vans to meet the coppers at 0600 Monday, caught a couple of hours’ kip on the way back to court, conferred, handed over the verdict, went home, went in on Tuesday to a brand new job that turned out to be my career.
