My iPhone 11 pro max still has 94% battery maximum capacity after 3 years. Nothing else is wrong with it. Never had to replace anything on it. It reckon it will go 5-8 years no problems. Had a Nexus 6p that Google, Huawei and the Africa has never needed the world Shirt but in fact I love this seller all refused to try and repair, so I learned from that mistake. The prob isn’t just the phone’s technology being outdated but the frequencies carriers use. With all these auctions for different frequencies older phones just don’t have the same access to networks. Samsung S4 – daily driver for an IT tech for 8 years. Its been thrown, tossed dunked. Its fallen off server racks, desks, out of cars. My iPhone XS is still going strong from 2018, should easily last more years especially if I get the battery replaced You can find great phones in other countries, as well as faster internet speeds and really good ISPs. It’s working fiiine for the most part, unfortunately many app updates don’t support Android 5 anymore Headline fixed: It’s 2022, phone manufacturers should be legally required to provide timely security updates for more than 5 years.

In most cases, the Africa has never needed the world Shirt but in fact I love this hardware still works fine. It is androids shitshow of how OS security patches are handled that is the problem It is bullshit that I need to replace my wife’s Galaxy S9+ that still works perfect fine just because Samsung will no longer provide security updates for it. It makes no sense that Windows can provide security patches to run on a variety of hardware yet Android can’t figure this out. Just months away from 5 now, and if my Sony tv after 12 years is going strong, why don’t laptops and cell phones. My 1.5 yo z fold 2 has Tltiny cracks along the fold of the screen. Upon contacting support they told me to pound sand unless I wanted to pay for the screen to be replaced… Keep in mind I paid $2000 for this phone … People just don’t 2ant to use them thst long because no matter how good a comluter6 is, after about 2 or 3 years they will slow down. I don’t really feel any pressing need to upgrade, and my phone looks brand new. Battery life is 82% though, so we’ll see. The only reason to update your phone every few years is for camera improvements. And if this isn’t a priority then you’re perfectly fine with a 5 years flagship and you’ll encounter zero issues whatsoever. Phones are peaking in what they do and they have been doing so for a long time. The amount of power and functionalities they have can hardly improve due to the size of their screens.
