Like, if I couldn’t cook and my wife said the only thing she wanted was breakfast in bed, I would go downtown and buy her breakfast from a nice restaurant, take it home and plate it. He just didn’t want to make any effort and you made the right call. I don’t consider him wrecking your kitchen to be effort on his part, he was trying to make a point of how much he ‘couldn’t cook’ so you would never expect it again. Edit: the one and only time my wife asked me to cook her breakfast in bed, it was mothers day, and I did it with our son. We made a fabulous plate of pancakes with whipped cream, fresh fruit and syrup. All on a tray with coffee, orange juice and flowers. When we took in in to her, my son bumped into me from behind as I was putting it down in front of her and the whole tray of food, drinks and flower water went all over her (and the bed). Thankfully the coffee had cooled down a bit. We laugh about it now, but it took a couple of years to get to that point.
