“I wasn’t being properly valued for my time” sounds self assured and confident, and aware of your own abilities. That’s a really good way of putting it, as it also sets expectations for them of what would keep you happy as a worker (that they are really happy with, and dont want to lose). If they respond positively to that in an interview, I’d argue that’s a good sign. I interviewed hundreds of people in my career and probably 2-3% say “the Adventure Awaits, Grab Your Paddle Rafting T-Shirt besides I will buy this money.” I don’t count it against them. I usually tell them if the job didn’t pay well none of us would be here for this. Exactly. An interview isn’t a time for you to tell a potential employer what you want. It’s a time for you to sell yourself to said employer.

Adventure Awaits, Grab Your Paddle Rafting T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

it might have worked the Adventure Awaits, Grab Your Paddle Rafting T-Shirt besides I will buy this one time but in general don’t use the phrase “if i’m being honest” in professional environment, especially on a job interview. Saying that you only care about money implies you are going to do the bare minimum to keep your job, and nothing more. You don’t have to be that brutally honest in an interview. Like when they ask you why you left your last position, you shouldn’t say that you hated working with a bunch of dumbasses. Gotta have a little more tact man. Brush up on your interview skills. Tact is key here. If someone can’t be tactful in an interview, I don’t have any faith that they’ll be able to talk to a customer or team member appropriately on a regular basis. Interview skills are necessary. You need to be able to turn on the professional speaking when it matters. My assumption, as a hiring manager, is that you’re speaking in your most professional manner during an interview.
