Travelling together means compromising and adjusting to others. That can sometimes drain your energy. You’re more free when you travel alone. I’m a Canadian woman who started travelling alone back in 2018. I started by going out West to BC and Alberta (I’m from Ontario) to see how I felt about it. It gave me the Adam Fox American professional ice hockey Hometown Hero T-Shirt in other words I will buy this safety net of knowing I had healthcare and spoke an official language etc. if anything went wrong. It was difficult at times, but amazing. I met many other travellers. Some who went home early, and others who extended their travels. I met sooo many people. I didn’t know Westen Canada was a hotspot for backpackers until then. About a year later I applied for my working holiday visa for Australia and have been there – with two visits back home – since 2019. I met tons of other travellers along the way. People who became friends and romantic partners, and then travelled with them. I also travelled alone heaps (bought a small car). All of it has been incredible, sometimes difficult, but I’ve grown more as a person than I could ever have imagined.

Now, my form of travelling was pretty intense, since I packed my life into a suitcase and left the Adam Fox American professional ice hockey Hometown Hero T-Shirt in other words I will buy this city I was in never to live there full time again. Happiest I’ve ever been. I’m now the ‘traveller’ among my friends and I see them when I go back to visit and chat online otherwise. I just convinced my best friend to try her hand at a working holiday visa in New Zealand and we spent a month there together this year. She’s the last person I ever thought would travel this far away with me I’ve also visited parts of Europe and Asia for weeks at a time when I’ve hopped back to the other side of the world from Australia. Those flights are expensive – so I always make the most of it when I leave a continent and try to jam as much travel in as possible. Also, Indonesia is super cool for a visit. I hope this inspires you a bit to try your hand at travelling. There’s so many ways to go about it and all of them are right!
