Kinda wish school-thought world history would include some non-preachy bits of religions in the states. Understanding someone else’s faith would be helpful I think. Catholics think that the wafers at Eucharist are literally (not symbolically) the body of Jesus. Like… they believe they’re eating people. That is WEIRD. How we had a female vice-president in the first place is a whole subject of debate but I don’t think it is about empowered women. But…that is not to detract at all from your argument about how women are viewed in Islam. IF YOU ARE A WOMAN, read chapter 58:4 (Surah: The Woman Who Pleads ). Even if you’re a mega atheist, make it your biggest dating tip. If even a religious text says that… That should be a given and not an accomplishment. There are more then enough problems for women and homosexuals in these Islamic countries. I’m not the one who downvoted. Some very interesting points but I am not sure we can credit Golda Meir to Islam.
