“The Russians are like us, they’re rural outdoorsy types so of course they support gun rights and if I’m rowdy in public the ACDC Thunder Shirt Also,I will get this police won’t beat the shit out of me because that’s how it is in America and they’re just like us” Fucking lazy chuds can’t be bothered to read a goddamn book but they’ll simp for shirtless Putin on a horse because he looks like what they wish they looked like. Watching them fawn over Putin and Trump just shows how pathetically insecure these types of people are. “I wanna be like him!” It’s so disturbing. A lot of them are relatives and extended family, it shouldn’t but it’s difficult for me to stay emotionally connected to them when they’re regularly bringing this stuff up and accusing me of being naive for not buying into their theories about Soros, Pelosi and Zuckerberg being the real enemies. Also there seems to be a strong correlation between the types who say “all politician are liars” and people who buy into the Russian worldview, I don’t know if that’s a media consumption thing, general cynicism, or what but it’s really weird.

ACDC Thunder Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Tankies can get weird when they’re simultaneously trying to fetishize Russia while simultaneously being anti-imperialist. I was arguing with tankies the ACDC Thunder Shirt Also,I will get this other day and related a story my Ukrainian-American first generation roommate told me about her great-great-grandfather getting disappeared in the late 1920s. The tankie response? “Your roommate’s family were obviously Nazi collaborators and deserved it.” Again, the late 1920s. These dickheads aren’t reading history, which makes me think they’re not reading theory. The vast majority of people, even those that identify as having specific and significant political ideologies, do not read any theory. It’s more of an emotional reaction that is fashioned as a philosophical stance.
