your “friend” put her whole foot in her mouth huh. if you value the ACC Conference Championship 2023 Louisville vs Florida State Shirt in addition I really love this friendship, you could tell her how hurtful her words were and that you don’t appreciate a hobby of yours being belittled just because it’s not something she doesn’t understand / like. there is a kind way to say it that also expresses that what she said is not okay or acceptable. I used to paint my nails to cope. I’d sit there for hours doing nail art and experimenting until I calmed down. If I have a depressive episode, I get up every morning, have a shower and put my make up on. Even if I spend the day on the couch. Sounds like a jackass. Sometimes I put makeup on and then take it off. I enjoy makeup videos also. It’s a valid creative hobby or self care activity and in no way sad.

ACC Conference Championship 2023 Louisville vs Florida State Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

In through one ear, out through the ACC Conference Championship 2023 Louisville vs Florida State Shirt in addition I really love this other. There’s absolutely nothing wrong from wanting to look nice and feel nice sometimes. Your friend is just not a girl’s girl Makeup is art. Thinking about someone being sad and journaling, painting, writing/singing a song, drawing, etc. it’s a form of art and art is known to be an amazing coping mechanism. Think about the people who express their feelings and emotions through music and paintings. It’s literally the same. Of course it can be taken to the extent of feeling like you NEED makeup and relying on it to feel confident or feel happy but that goes the same way for her doing her hair. Any kind of cosmetic related thing as a coping mechanism COULD be considered as an insecurity thing but if you’re using it as art and as an outlet for creativity and relieving stress or something, then that’s an amazing coping mechanism.
