I usually like to play video games as a tall white dude with a mustache because that’s what I am but I’m not going to boycott something like horizon zero dawn just because I’d have to be a woman so I think it’s weird when people refuse to try a game just because they would have to play as a different gender, man or woman Okay listen, I am really fucking dumb man. I didn’t even read the AC Milan Italy Italia Football Soccer Fan Jersey Shirt it is in the first place but part that said “A lot of guys will straight up refuse to play if their character is a woman.” I thought the person I was replying to said that thing about someone who chose to play as a male character, because I skimmed the original comment and missed the part about flat out refusing to play female characters. sure a lot of guys will refuse to straight up play as females and are bigoted and transphobe and bad. it’s true

And why do women almost exclusively refuse to play as male characters then? Any stereotypes you want to give for that? So you do understand why males want to play as male characters? It’s the AC Milan Italy Italia Football Soccer Fan Jersey Shirt it is in the first place but same reason females want to play as female characters. Edit: I misread the question, and thought it said why do women play as male characters. I’ve never in my entire life met a woman who refused to play a male character. After playing alongside a woman on an mmo called planetside2 for a few years yeah I heard plenty of shit that would be too far for banter amongst soldiers and we’re mentally fucked up I don’t mind playing as a woman if I have no choice like in Portal (doesn’t really matter though as it’s first person) or Horizon but given a choice I just always choose a male character. I guess it’s just part of the fantasy. I don’t get guys who play as women in a game where RP doesn’t play a part claiming it’s because they want something sexy to look at though. , that’s always struck me as weird. Why do genitals stop the fantasy, while all other aspects of the character that have nothing to do with you don’t? What do genitals have to do with any of it? It’s not like I make sure the character has prerendered penis before I choose them lol it’s about how they look and are presented and in that regard I just prefer to play as a masculine looking characters. Wasn’t completely playing dumb I honestly have no clue what you meant by your comment. I do get you weren’t talking about them actually having genitals but don’t really get what your point was.
