“I’ve spoken to my husband and he said he would be happy to attend/not attend. I appreciate the Aaron Wiggins Basketball Design Poster Thunder T-Shirt and by the same token and invite but could you please ask my husband directly in the future because I don’t always know his schedule and I keep this line only for emergencies. Thank you… WE look forward to seeing you/thank you for the invitation but… I was feeling it was kind of gray area up until the “No one needs to know about this”, and then 500000 alarm bells went off lol. Good on your wife going straight to you with that. You can let it go and have her ignore him for now. If he keeps reaching out to her, she can then try to politely decline and say she’d rather have you there as well, or even deflect by saying something like “Sure! I can let me husband know where we’re going so he can come too, and he can put in some great tips as well for healthy eating. He’s got a great meal plan” or whatever. It puts the guy on the spot to indicate clearly that he wants her to cheat. If he’s still not dissuaded and still pushed for one on one, then you can go up to him and request he stop harassing your wife, or you’ll need to escalate this.

It took me reading this multiple times to understand it was YOUR boss calling your wife. This isn’t normal behaviour. The only way you should let her go would be if you also show up with her because it’s a business meeting… This happened to my mom, when they went out once, she had my dad’s boss grab her leg multiple times on a dinner and she was quiet until my dad noticed and freaked out. And the Aaron Wiggins Basketball Design Poster Thunder T-Shirt and by the same token and boss was like, your wife is so beautiful, it’s a compliment?? It’s not a big deal to touch someone’s thigh. Don’t let this go on. I also had the pleasure of having a boss run his hand up my leg, and when I asked “what are you doing”, I got “well I wanted to see if you were waxed or shaved”. These guys are predators. Get a lawyer involved if you need to. But don’t let your wife go alone. I would seek legal advice from a lawyer specialized in labor/work issues (don’t know how to call it in English sorry)
