Of course l am aware of the A Lovely Cheese Pizza Just For Me Santa hat Christmas T-Shirt also I will do this various schemes and projects to highlight homelessness in London. I live in the city, l volunteer for local food banks. Not once did I claim that it’s about awareness for homelessness, I am just asking the person above that if they’re aware of such arts that won’t place you on the map while this particular art student has already provoked a reaction. From the other side of the world. Looks like the street beggars in my area. Clean clothes, washed hair, nice complexion, genuinely good looking, lives 1/4 mile down the road in a decent 3 bedroom house. I legit once saw a beggar that was a smoke show. Like 9/10. I immediately thought 2 things. 1 turn around and ask her out on a date. 2. No fucking way she’s poor and needs to beg

Oh we’re due to be married next month. She’s not there anymore. I’ve got her staking out a few different streets in high end neighborhoods. Gotta switch it up. Keep the A Lovely Cheese Pizza Just For Me Santa hat Christmas T-Shirt also I will do this money flowing, if people keep seeing you on the same street day after day week after week. The handouts start to die down. Maybe they should try being homeless for a night instead. It would probably give them much more interesting stuff to write about Sorry, what’s the facepalm here? This could be a some part of her creative process. Viewing the street from another perspective etc. I think the big issue, or an aspect of it anyways, is that this young woman tried homelessness as a vacation of sorts, the same way instagram and tiktok influencers go to India or Thailand for a #spiritualawakening. The half a day does not give her any real perspective on homelessness, for her it’s just an image to flash for her social media or at best her portfolio, which she will use to capitalize on in some way. She isn’t doing anything useful to actually help anyone experiencing real homelessness or mental health issues, she’s just auditing homelessness for a moment and turning herself into a caricature of a homeless person for her followers to look at. At any point she can choose to go back to her wealthy lifestyle as a upper class chinese student in London. I hope this helps make things a bit clearer for why people find this offensive/a facepalm.
