I feel like that’s an odd thing to add tho. It’d be like saying pineapples are good to eat, but not if you’re allergic! kinda just implied The difference is that food/environmental allergies become readily apparent pretty early on in life, whereas getting bitten by a black widow is a much rarer occurrence. Well yeah, but most people probably know if they are allergic to pineapples at a very young age. Most people probably have no idea they are allergic to the A day without music is like…just kidding have no idea vintage T-Shirt so you should to go to store and get this venom from a specific spider until they are bitten by one. Out of thousands of bites only 4-8 people die a year. The chances are extremally low that you will die from it. That isn’t a generalization, it’s the truth. The chances are less than low, they are basically null. There have been zero deaths from black widow encounters in the US, in 40 years. 1983 was the last recorded fatal encounter. Almost anywhere in California especially the valleys just inland from the coasts will have an extremely high density of widow spiders. When you actually look you’ll find their webs (characteristically messy in design and very strong) every few feet along buildings, bushes, sheds, etc. In Orange County, it seems like the Brown Widows annihilated the Black Widow population. Used to see them equally 10 years ago, but I haven’t seen a Black Widow in the last several years. Grew up in the northbay, and my older cousin would teach me how to catch black widows from our garage in water bottles lol

Those are spider eyes looking at you. I usually bring a can of dust off camping just for this purpose. Also helps get dust off the tables and such. It’s enough to knock em down and off the stuff but it won’t actually hurt them unless they’re right in front of the nozzle. I like spiders. One time I didn’t notice a black widow spider under the toilet seat at my local park, but luckily it didn’t bite me when I sat down. It just skittered up my ass, and it’s in there to this day. I was bitten by a black widow on the hand when I was a kid and there was a red line going up my arm all the way to the armpit
