I went through a break up recently and it forced me to confront the A book worth banning is a book worth reading shirt Also,I will get this fact I’ve barely even seen any of my friends at all in years, because I was spending all my time between work, my partner, and just assuming that’s how it is past a certain point in life. But back to being single I suddenly realised “shit, what do I even do any more? Who even am I?” I suppose what I’m saying is you might regret burning the bridge one day, so give it thought. You can’t always help someone who doesn’t want to be helped, but giving up on them is another thing. On one hand, mental health. On the other, I also have a mate who still lives at home and his mum has a very, “Oh, he’ll move out when he’s ready, the little tyke.” Never mind he’s 6’4″ and in his 30s and has a good job but doesn’t contribute anything to the home. The reality is, much as I like her as a person, she simply didn’t set him up for success and let him grow up selfish, entitled and expecting her to wait on him hand and foot for life. For him, it’s an easy life free of any responsibility and while I’m sure it’s ultimately quite unfulfilling and probably does harm his mental health, he’s frankly got it too good to notice.

It’s not your job to give him a kick up the A book worth banning is a book worth reading shirt Also,I will get this arse, but likewise I don’t think you need to make him feel like shit just to make it clear you’re moving on with your life. I think it’s perfectly fine to just phase people out of your life, personally. It’s not nice when it happens to you, but you know that’s what’s happening and someone telling you why they don’t like you will genuinely make you feel worse. Living at home with your mum shouldn’t really be seen as a blot on your character these days. We have a housing crisis. Lots of people live at home with mum in their 30s that aren’t complete losers. Yeah, if you’re living an independent life, fair enough. If you’re rolling out of bed at 4pm on a Saturday saying to your mum, “Where’s this dinner, then?” I think it’s reasonable to judge someone. I have a brother like this and used to feel similarly that my mother didn’t set him up for success. More recently I’ve come to realise that he is a grown ass man and blaming the mother is totally unfair. H s old enough to realise his behaviour is unhealthy and chooses to do nothing about it. Why is it acceptable to blame the nearest woman for the man’s shortcomings?
