Like I get what they tried to do but they clearly didn’t think about heat and the A Barbie Girl In An Atomic World shirt and by the same token and effects it has on the glue on tape. Almost, But that Brand usually comes with a screw, I recently bought a 250gb SSD from “Fanxiana” and they even include a mini screwdriver in the box with a screw. Yes, most of the time you will have a surplus of these screws unless you loose some, as you’re almost always getting them both with the MB and when you buy a drive. Somehow I kept getting unlucky and getting no screw with either. Happy my current one just has a locking mechanism. I don’t have enough money for that so I’ve been using the same computer since 2017. I’ve just upgraded the ram, GPU, and replaced the PSU when it died. Every motherboard with an M.2 slot AND every M.2 SSD I have bought have each come with the necessary mounting screws, etc. When I lost mine, I looked for one at a local store that was open box because i just needed one screw and standoff. it was marked down to like 60 cents Weird, I’m on the opposite side of the spectrum. No m.2 I’ve purchased (new) has included the screw. My mobo box always had like 10 of them though.

My Samsung 980 pro (bought this before I found out about Samsung customer support, no problems yet) didn’t some with any either. I think they have started placing them in the A Barbie Girl In An Atomic World shirt and by the same token and mobo and not in the ssd. I bought 2 Samsung 980’s to upgrade the storage on a laptop a couple years ago and neither came with the screw. I ordered a cheap pack of miscellaneous PC screws off Amazon for $10 or so and have enough left over that I don’t think I will ever use them all. Kinda wish they’d make it so they’re all toolless. A little plastic clip would have done the job, how theyve chosen to do it necessitates another screwdriver. I’ve worked on some cheap boards that are already tool less. They have a plastic pull tab which acts as the m2 screw.
