I am a happily married man, and 90%+ of my coworkers are women. I’m friends with many of them, and very close friends with a few. One of them, my “work little sister,” and I gave a 2k+ snap streak. I’m honestly platonic friends with all of these women. I have a few of their phone numbers and we text memes and stuff back and forth. But never anything inappropriate, and my wife can look at my phone and message threads whenever she wants, and she is friends with most of them, too. I get that not everyone is comfortable with platonic relationships between opposite sex people who are in separate relationships, and I guess that’s fine if that’s what you need. Everyone else’s paths of reasoning differ from yours, so when someone acts odd, speak to them about it to get their perspective, rather than applying your paths of reasoning to their actions. imo, this guy seems to consider texting a much less formal means of communication than you do. If that’s the case, texting you would seem as regular to him as speaking to you from across the room. It sounds like you’re a mentor to this woman. If her fiance is in the same field, is it possible he is looking for mentorship? I text one of my best friend’s wives more than I text him. Honestly she’s become as good as friend as he is. She sarcastic and fun to banter with and we both like projects and crafts so we keep each other posted with what’s going on. I could see someone finding it weird but I’m not interested in her beyond a friendship. Plus I love her husband like a brother.
