That would be like if they needed 3/4 vote from the states but said let’s just skip that for this issue and make it 1/2. What? Now its a tease to change it anytime someone is in power. They should just make it a 60 vote limit officially and move on. Its just never good to change the rules in your favor. It’s going to anger half the country and then have the other party get revenge the next time they take power which is what Sanders is talking about. Democrats eliminated presidential nomination filibuster except for the Supreme Court. So when Republicans got control they responded by making it include the Supreme Court too. And now they are upset about a stupid game that they started in the first place. Can we just end it period? It serves no purpose other than to completely prevent progress. The government takes a lot of our money. We should expect them to use to to actually get shit done. So what happens when a majority party decides to pass something abhorent? Without the fillibuster, the minority party will have no recourse to prevent whatever it is from passing.He says that like extremism is a bad thing. I wish the left was as extreme as the right is. The best thing we have is an incompetent party that does nothing. He’s not wrong. One only has to follow their misadventures the last few years. Trump, Green, Gaetz, and Boebert are the cream of the crop, take one look at that group and cry for civilization. Public education is about what zip code you live in. If you live in a wealthy one you get the best public education and teachers who care. If you live in a zip code in a very poor neighborhood your public education is terrible and you get teachers that try very hard but because the kids have bigger issues then education like crime and just getting food to eat, it’s very hard to get those kids motivated to learn. America has to improve how the money is distributed and have administration that cares. You have too many talkers and not enough people that get shit done. The kids are going to get dumber and when they get to adolescent stage it will be a joke. I find that hard to believe because we exacted a genocide of millions of natives for political gain. But then again it was government sanctioned
