It is easy to look at someone’s blood through a microscope and find malformations. This only rarely translates to actual disabilities or birth defects. Tens of thousands of people received high enough doses to be walking around with some random kinks in their DNA, yet remain healthy. The scientific consensus is that no compelling evidence of birth defects or serious deformities in humans exists. Just comparing rates between Polessie and some other neighboring region is not good statistics. For instance, your average county in the 50 Goals For Auston Matthews Number 34 Player In NHL History Hit 50 Goals In Season Shirt and I will buy this U.S. has higher cancer rates than the most contaminated parts of Ukraine and Belarus, but you don’t hear people claiming that corn dogs cause cancer… Radiation does weird shit to DNA. Two people can be exposed to the same amount at the same time at the same location, but one could get severe radiation poisoning or health issues later one while the other is fine. Someone might be wearing a wristwatch, and that acts like a sponge to receive more radiation exposure. The other might be wearing a heavier coat, and that insulates them from more exposure.

The story behind her childhood is traumatic according to the 50 Goals For Auston Matthews Number 34 Player In NHL History Hit 50 Goals In Season Shirt and I will buy this comments I’ve been reading. I’ll never understand what she’s gone through and is 100 times stronger than me. I hope to be as strong willed as her one day That an incredible accomplishment, and all I can think of is how pissed I would be if I got beat in olympic swimming by someone with webbed feet and fingers. The woman who adopted her was my wife’s professor! Very nice lady who was proud of her daughters accomplishments, despite the adversity she faced. She was also regularly raped as a child. People are absolutely despicable. But I’m glad the human spirit prevails. This was not proven to be caused by Chernobyl. In fact, the consensus today is that there have been no long term health effects causally linked to the radiation released. The radiation must clearly have affected people and will continue to do so, at least with our current understanding of stochastic damage. It’s just really difficult to prove since the average person from the general population in the area received (and continue to receive) such small doses that it becomes almost impossible to discern expected excess cancers and diseases from the natural occurrence. But take these doses over hundreds of thousands of people, and I bet you everything I own that people have already died and are gonna die from radiation induced cancer.
