Before the show even aired when they first announced the casting, I had this thought. I don’t want to be a bitch, but the rest of the girls are not what I think of as all star queens. They’re not bad queens, but they’re not great Drag Race contestants. They’re mostly third string Ru girls with a few second stringers to make it seem more fair. Like I get it, no one wants to hear everyone saying you aren’t good enough. That’s gotta feel absolutely awful. And every queen has a healthy ego, so it’s gotta sting even more. But there are almost 200 queens on the American version alone. Not everyone can be top 20, and it’s obvious production did not balance the talent level. Exactly. Jimbo is an icon, they just, casting didn’t do its job. They put Jimbo with queens that are not ready for All Stars. It’s made All Stars the worse for it. You know, they don’t have to produce a show every year. All Stars is special cause the queens are iconic. Not Basic. They could give All Stars a rest until they are enough to fill a cast.

Jimbo is talented, she’s funny, she does well at the 40 years of 1983 2023 Michael W.smith thank you for the memories signature shirt also I will do this things she does well at. But “facing a group of competitors who simply aren’t at her level of creativity or persona cultivation” is such a stupid fucking thing to say about a queen who primarily excels at comedy/acting and has had an outsized number of opportunities to show it. this argument makes no sense to me. so everyone who watches the show but doesn’t do drag can’t have an opinion? if i don’t like a movie i can’t write a bad review bc i don’t make movies? entertainment is made to be consumed and critiqued from whoever wants to give their two cents. I don’t disagree. No one is on Jimbo’s level it seems. The great thing about queens like Jimbo is that they are entertaining without drama. Sure drama is great but I just like watching Jimbo. The rest of them this season are fine….but not great. I had high hopes for Alexis but she’s kind of lack lustre. I haven’t watching this week’s episode though so maybe I’ll change my mind. It’s facts though. She was a queen of petty and her monologue reading Baga is the most memorable dramatic moment in DRCan.
