With your somewhat unique and very real health conditions which = important concerns for you I wouldn’t expect anything and always confirm your needs. Asking equals peace of mind and will afford you the freedom to find a more suitable place to relax and enjoy your life. I charged a guest $500 on the spot for smoking right in front of the front door in my duplex. When he smoked that close, all the smoke went inside the other side of the duplex where other guests were staying. Yes, I’m an extremist when it comes to smoking. Also, the charge was strict and high because the guest lied to me and said he and his friends were not smokers. My friend, if you think hotel rooms are guaranteed to never have been smoked or vaped in, I have a bridge in San Francisco that I’m trying to get rid of for a very reasonable price. I’d wager an AirBnB unit built within the 40 Years 1984 – 2024 Dragon Ball Daima Akira Toriyama Signature Thank You For The Memories Shirt but in fact I love this last 10 years is less smoked in than your average hotel room. And I still think someone probably smoked/vaped in that new build AirBnB. Not saying hotel rooms are perfect but generally they are fine. Entire houses are a lot more work to remove smoke smell than a hotel room. Ask the host but don’t be 100% confident. There’s an Airbnb next to us that clearly states no smoking in the rules and even at check in… yet every week there are guests smoking in it. Yes, I would expect it to have been smoked in. If you have all the health issues you listed, you need to find a “no smoking/no vaping/no weed” listing.
