This reminds me of the 3rd Grade Typography Team Third Grade Teacher Back To School Leopard T-Shirt Besides,I will do this Family Guy skit of “Pretend you don’t notice people’s race day”. Someone’s race is a great descriptor and shouldn’t be a taboo to acknowledge it. If anything it’s kinda messed up to think it’s offensive to be called black because being black isn’t a negative thing. The only thing is they aren’t actually black, they are kind of dark brown or whatever. So its using a word with negative connotations more generally (eg black is ‘evil’) to describe a group. It also ‘coincidentally’ is the opposite to white. with the various positive connotations linked to white. As a big black guy who’s been called this many times, literally what else are you supposed to say if you don’t know my name lol? There are 0 more efficient descriptors. Some people try to go “big guy with the glasses” but come on now. It can be pretty funny tho Well, when I watched Living Color on TV, I thought about how no white people would refer to Jim Carrey as “That white guy”.

When you refer to someone solely by their skin color, it’s like that all that you see. You don’t see them as an actual person. So yes, it’s racist. If Jim Carrey was not known and the 3rd Grade Typography Team Third Grade Teacher Back To School Leopard T-Shirt Besides,I will do this only white and tall guy in a group of people of various races and heights, then yes, people would call him the “white tall guy” It’s not racist, it just tiptoes on the boundaries of racism. There are lots of other ways to identify someone other than “the big black guy.” If it was taken as bigoted then it effectively was racist. Whether a Reddit forum agrees or disagrees that is the karma you are functioning with. If your reaction to being called out for racism is to fight or gaslight the people saying it then you probably are quite a bigot. And you know it which is why you are here seeking validation.
