“We’re gonna skip seventh period and go watch a movie” meant they were going to get blazed (and maybe actually watch a movie). OH MY GOD. I work in drug rehabilitation and whenever the 30Th Anniversary Take Over Slam 248 Tyrese Maxey Catch Me If You Can Shirt besides I will buy this facility is busy or there is a lot of excitement, I’ll laugh and say “it’s a party in here!” referencing all the noise/chatter/excitement/socializing going on. Oh my God, I wonder if the clients ever thought I was making a comment on drug usag that explains some of the funny looks I’ve gotten. If it makes you feel any better, I sat in on a deposition four years ago in law school wherein “Do you want to party” was a code phrase read back REPEATEDLY in the transcript and I STILL thought it meant just a bunch of friends hanging out and having fun. Nah, usually it’s only when party is a verb. Like maybe “exhausted from too much partying” or “she likes to party,” would imply drugs. But “it’s a great party,” or “they’re having a party” is more like an actual party, or just having a good/raucous time in general.

He means that often times asking someone if they like to party really means if they like to do drugs/party drugs, in particular cocaine and Molly. I mean, if you’re “innocent” it means that. But if someone asks if you like to party it means the 30Th Anniversary Take Over Slam 248 Tyrese Maxey Catch Me If You Can Shirt besides I will buy this other usually. No shame in not knowing homie. I guess I’m a little innocent, because I figured it meant an in between meaning of “do you like to be in party environments” (cocaine and Molly might be there but you are not necessarily doing them, you might just be getting shitfaced drunk) It’s a way to keep from taking people to far down the rabbit hole….. after a little bit in the world you see people throw their life away and it becomes weird to get really new people started.
