Yeah, maybe.. But if you look at those early roles, and there were many many really lame ones through the 30th anniversary Backstreet Boys 1993 2023 thank you for the memories signature shirt and I love this 70s, you can see some serious dues paid. A lot of the 1980s roles, Tron, Starman, Tucker, they had the looks of some movies that were just barely NOT B movies because someone pumped enough cash, and sometimes CGI into them. People say the same thing about Nick Cage because he’s 3rd cousin a rather famous Coppola. But if you really get into his IMDB, even going up to current times, he’s doing 75% stuff that just SUCKS! And 25% stuff that catches fire, and people like it in spite of some of the cheesy scripting. So ya get some gigs that are cake because you know the right people, etc, etc. Still doesn’t matter, if you wanna keep earning in Hollywood, you embrace the suck, and take those roles that the tabloid writers living in their parents basement at 64 just LOVE to scribble out poison pen reviews on all day.

Because while they suck, they still make a big amount of money, even when looking through the 30th anniversary Backstreet Boys 1993 2023 thank you for the memories signature shirt and I love this filter(most EU nations would call it FRAUD), of Hollywood accounting, and they keep someone’s name out there. Just look at Bowfinger, its a funny movie about some seriously sketchy people trying to scrape together a hit movie out of nothing. The irony being, its just LOADED with heavy hitters in terms of acting success, and they had to know from the get go, this movie was just keeping their names out there. Canadian Bacon was a similar project, you get a slow year, people need to keep their names out there, and say “Fuck it, why not? This looks fucking hilarious!” for me his role in King Kong was the turning point, it was the summer blockbuster of 1976, and he carried it quite well; but he did get a lot of critical acclaim for his work in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974). There were many forgettable roles in those schlocky flicks of the ’70 indeed, but he was getting paid while he paid his dues, and getting steady work.
