If it’s a swimshirt, go ahead. But don’t go in with the shirt you normally wear outside, it’s gross and unhygienic. No judgment. As one in possession on pale non-tannable skin their is nothing wrong with protecting one’s skin or modesty, as the case may be. However, for myself I prefer to follow the ideals of modesty, so I always tend to cover up in a pool or ocean. No bellies, no low cut tops, no high cut bottoms that expose my booty. Living in Los Angeles and Las Vegas the past 20 years of my life, people I know think I’m weird. Less is better for most of my friends. Maybe I am weird, but I don’t care.

Anyone who chooses to judge you for doing what makes you feel more comfortable and able to enjoy yourself is only making themselves look stupid. Sunscreen shirts are a thing. No, I don’t know anyone who has ever judged someone or even looked twice if they have a shirt in the 2024 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships Shirt Besides,I will do this pool. Sometimes if someone is tugging on their shirt a lot, you can tell they are insecure, but most people are dealing with their own insecurities, and focused on themselves. As long as it’s appropriate swim wear, you should be fine. I think cotton shirts are frowned upon because the fibers can clog the filters of some pools. If you could see my back,from what the sun has done to it,you’d never take your shirt OFF,in the sun.My back is pockmarked like the moon,& I have these,I guess their cysts,& subaceous growths just below my skin. They used to bleed & get pus filled. Doesn’t look good. Beware of skin cancer. I’m proof of what the sun can do to your skin. No, you don’t have to put on sun screen, you aren’t gonna be as cold when you get out, and you can use it in fun ways in the pool. (also look into buying swimming shirts, they are made of UV protectant material and do the same thing as normal shirts while fitting in a bit more) If it’s one of these made for water then I see no issue, however if it was a normal one here in Poland people would give you a very weird look if you wore one in water, and I’m pretty sure that most waterparks and public pools wouldn’t let you in the water with one, although that’s just Poland, US is wildly different from us Honestly I don’t care if you’re wearing a shirt, if it makes you feel more confident and comfortable then you rock that shirt in the pool!
