edit: I spent the 2023 OHSAA Football Division VI State Semifinals The Four Shirt Apart from…,I will love this majority of my life as a fat chick and hated when people would lie to me about how I looked in clothes. I was never fishing for compliments, I genuinely wanted to know if what I was wearing was unflattering. Like I couldn’t easily tell if my ass cellulite was visible in certain pants, so looked to my friends to tell me whether my big ass looked lumpy or lovely. The only wrong answer was someone just trying be a dickhead. You didn’t say anything wrong in this situation. You gave a diplomatic answer, she is the one who said the dress made her “look a little fat,” and all you did was agree with her. If she’s angry at you, that’s 100% on her. And before anyone replies to this like “lol men really don’t understand women,” I’m a woman. The woman described in this post is just an asshole who plays mind games with people. PSA to people of all genders: Don’t ask a question if you don’t want to hear the answer. Yes, I know people have insecurities. I have plenty of insecurities myself! My insecurities are my problem. They are not an excuse to lash out at the people around me.

OP, if someone gets mad at you for agreeing with them, that’s someone you don’t want to be in a relationship with. If this is how they behave when you agree with them, just imagine how they’ll handle it when you disagree. It sounds to me like this woman basically made up a secret test and then got mad when you didn’t pass the 2023 OHSAA Football Division VI State Semifinals The Four Shirt Apart from…,I will love this secret test that you didn’t know existed. She baited you into saying something unflattering, then got mad at you for taking the bait that she laid. That is not the behavior of someone who is ready to have an emotionally healthy relationship. I don’t normally go in for all that gender-stereotype bullshit but god damn if we haven’t stumbled on the possibility that the “does this make me look fat” trope might actually be true!
