They recently moved to a four-day week in an effort to increase instruction and student engagement on the 2023 love of my life Selena Gomez great actress shirt What’s more,I will buy this days when school is in session, while decreasing absences, according to the district’s Chief Academic Officer Nikisha Edwards. I bet they Administration got the bright idea to move to a four-day schedule without consulting the State, and were unaware that there was a minimum requirement for days attended. So now they have to extend the year just to meet that attendance requirement. Should be an automatic F for the Superintendent and School Board, but you never know. The 4 day week there doesn’t start until next year and they definitely consulted the state. They peppered in to the plan rotating Fridays and an extension to ensure the number of days were accounted for Yea, schools def know students need x amount of instructional time. All the school/teacher holidays have to take that it into account. worked in education about a decade.

And 4 day weeks are a combination of financial savings and attracting and retaining teachers who have options and can go elsewhere. Tea has taken over the 2023 love of my life Selena Gomez great actress shirt What’s more,I will buy this district and installed a board of directors. I wish the article made that little bit of info more clear. The article also doesn’t mention that it’s a town of 5k people that is majority working-poor black. For years, the white parents (who are primarily of means, they’re the business owners and small-time ranchers) all transfer their kids to a different school district. Because it’s poor, most of the funding comes from the state. The way Texas works is that the state funding is allocated by the number of students, so the money for those transferring follows them to the other district. They can’t afford decent teachers, so the logic in the 4-days school week was to try to recruit better qualified teachers who’d be willing to commute if it was just 4 days. Primarily though, it was cost savings. The district hired a new superintendent a few years ago, and he improved the test scores and graduation rate to the point they were about to (or did, I don’t recall) re-accredited. I’d presume COVID impacted this graduating class,as they definitely weren’t in a position to do remote learning… even for the short time Texas took COVID seriously.
