In the spring I worked 7 hours but got paid for 8 hours. I was on a 24 hr shift a few years back. I worked 25 hrs. I did not get paid extra. Yes this was normal (medical residency, we’re salaried for what works out to peanuts/hr). I work an extra hour, I tried asking if I get paid for that hour but no one knows and I keep forgetting to check my paystubs. I’ll check next Friday when I’m paid When I worked at a bar that closed at 3AM, the computer did not account for the extra hour. I didn’t really care because at the time my hourly rate was basically nothing.
