Eventually…like months or even multiple years…you recognize the 2023 Big 12 Conference Champions Texas Longhorns Shirt Apart from…,I will love this clarity and sense of well being from the post work out endorphins and you start to need to exercise to avoid feeling gross. I smoke lots of weed before I do my routine 7 mile runs and it helps me to feel blissed out from the beginning. If I don’t I’ll get diabetes and my knees will hurt. No choice but to work out regularly. Also it lets me eat shitty food occasionally without feeling bad. It’s ok to hate your workout, just do it. I’ve been working out consistently since I was 15, with the exception of about a 2 year break when I was on drugs. I’m 30 now. It’s hard sometimes as life gets busier, but I keep thinking to myself that if I don’t workout, I will get fat. That’s my motivator. I love food….. but I also love having a healthy BMI. I guess it just matters to some people more than others, but to me it’s very important to be healthy. Been doing it for 15 years. I just love working out. Lifting weights feels great and relieves stress. Using nutrition to see changes in my body is really cool. It’s like doing art or something except your body is the canvas. As far as dieting goes you’re probably making the mistake most people who just get into it make. They follow some strict bland diet thinking that’s what you have to do. It’s not. When it comes to weight loss in particular the only thing that truly matters is calories. If you eat less than you take in you’ll lose weight. The whole Keto low carb bullshit is just a myth. Those diets have always been around because when you cut carbs you usually cut out snacking and high calorie processed foods and replace them with protein and fats which keep you full longer so you naturally eat less. This naturally puts people in a caloric deficit which makes you lose weight and makes you hold less water. Realistically it’s not carbs that make you fat. It’s an excess of calories. If you burn 2500 calories you can eat 2k calories a day in pure table sugar if you want and still lose fat. You won’t be healthy but you’ll lose weight. The key is just to measure all your food with a food scale and learn to alter recipes so you can continue eating what you love. For anyone who thinks this is untrue look up Mark Haubs Twinkie diet. He was a nutritionist who set out to prove this by eating nothing but steak, twinkies, nutter butters, and milk but limited his calories. After 3 months he lost 27lbs and his blood work after was better than his blood work before just from losing the weight even though he was eating an extremely unhealthy diet. I can make French toast with monk fruit sweetener, egg, and Greek yogurt mix that taste identical to actual French toast but each slice is only about 210 calories while also being around 13 grams of protein with the only sugar coming from what’s in the bread. Learning how to alter and make recipes like that is key to eating what you want but still being healthy and in a caloric deficit or surplus whatever it is you’re trying to do.

Learn to incorporate exercise into your daily life. Like cardio. For weight loss you don’t need to be running or anything. Just walking at a brisk pace keeping your heart rate in zone 2. I almost never do dedicated cardio except when I’m cutting and maintain a 6-pack even when I’m bulking. I get most of my cardio in from walking my dogs twice a day for 25-30 minutes each. Learn to increase your NEAT(non-exercise aerobic thermogenesis). Things like walking to pick up food that’s close by instead of driving, if you work/live on a higher floor use the 2023 Big 12 Conference Champions Texas Longhorns Shirt Apart from…,I will love this stairs instead of the elevator, if you use stairs daily go up to steps two at a time instead of one, or if you work at a desk try to get a standing desk to move around a little while working. The the only dedicated exercise I do is weight lifting which is fun to me.
