I came and went from my parents house in my twenties with no explanation and long before cell phones. Usually I lived on my own but there were a few times I moved home. Never even asked. Just did it. Have a 22 year old myself, now. He’s an adult. Sometimes he needs me as best friend, sometimes as mom. I try to be what he needs in the 1999 catatonia rock band equally cursed and blessed trending shirt and by the same token and moment. I’m sure she was worried, but shit if she was that worried…couldn’t she check the house first. Maybe text? Something like, “If you need a ride, just let me know.” I would’ve assumed my kid was out with friends or hooking up, lol. Your mother sounds like my mother who, when I moved 3,000 miles away (at age 26) called the minister in my new town, gave him my address, and told him to “welcome me to the congregation Sunday”. Moms do some crazy shit & somehow justify their madness with the fact that they’re moms. “I gave birth to you” And that’s just the relatively normal moms. If mom has mental health issues, then it’s batshit with no justification and typically gets worse with age. Yay!

Happy Mother’s Day to the 1999 catatonia rock band equally cursed and blessed trending shirt and by the same token and woman that got me a drawing of a puppy for Christmas instead of a puppy. Y’a know, same thing, right? Happy mother’s day to the woman who’s spite has caused me a lifetime of anxiety and pain. I hope one day she’s able to truly live. We haven’t talked in 11 years – that much malice can corrupt a person. I am finally happy with the person I’m becoming and don’t plan to lose any progress with my personal growth. Nbirthgiver is the reason the telephone number i use is not registered with my ID. Cause if it was, she would easily pay to see it. When i used to have my own number, she would call countless times every fucking hour for nonsense. Because i am her maid. And she’s “immobile”. Happy Mother’s Day to the woman who went into my room to read my diary and yelled at me for not writing about her buying me a laptop and instead writing about all the times she yelled at me. I never kept any kind of diary or journal again.
