To be fair, there are a heck of a lot of absolute morons and degenerates in Congress under 30. Madison Cawthorne ring a bell? Nothing less is acceptable. Term limits for the 17 11 22 1899 movie trending shirt and by the same token and supreme court are important, but the power lies in congress. No one should bein government for 3+ decades, NO ONE. Agreed. Makes no sense that such powerful positions can be held for life. Like, the entire nation is supposed to just remain beholden to these judges for decades and decades? I’ve always like the 18 year idea floated in the past. It gives Justices some longevity to really help shape the law, while also making sure that every president gets input. There are 9 justices so 1 gets replaced every 2 years. Which means each president gets to pick 2 justices per term.

Does it matter? The most radical judges were appointed in the 17 11 22 1899 movie trending shirt and by the same token and last couple years. Mandatory retirement might get us more extreme justices. Repeating that ALL EVERY SONGLE PUBLICLY HELD GOVERNMENTAL POSITION AT THE LOCAL STATE AND FEDERAL LEVELS must have term limits. This is the thing. Now people are calling for term limits because of a ruling they don’t like. What about rulings that the “other side” doesn’t like? Then it doesn’t matter does it? All government positions where you are active in the judicial, legislative, or executive powers, should have term limits. I don’t believe term limits should exist, but the bar for inducting a justice should require 60 votes from the Senate. It would be hard to get that passed, but 60 senators aligned with one party isn’t hard to get if there’s a favorable election. Both party’s would be unable to put a justice in the Supreme Court that fully adheres to their beliefs, so the pick would have to be bipartisan. If a term limit does happen then it should be 30 years. Most justices are in their 40’s so their retirement age would be when they’re elderly. 70+ year olds can die from anything faster than the young and dealing with an absence in the Court is difficult, because a president has to find a nominee It would be easier to find a replacement if there was a term limit, because a president would have someone next in line.
